Encaustic paintings

Known as hot wax paintings, encaustic paintings quickly became one of my favorite mediums to work with. Encaustic paintings are great in that they are never too fussy to maintain. For one, wax paintings are never fragile, and they look just fine without being framed professionally. Just make sure your encaustic paintings aren’t placed in a very hot space, and you are good (e.g., nowhere near the fire).

My encaustic paintings often combine traditional elements and tools used in acrylic + watercolor paintings and charcoal drawings.
